Why an IFS Parts Map?

When we do our work in IFS, we undoubtedly begin to know ourselves better. A unique and central self is at our very centre, seat of our soul and heart. However, as we journey through life we develop many different parts, with unique roles. It is fun, informative and exciting to get to know these parts. As we begin to know thyself more deeply, it can be helpful to put these parts on a map. Like exploring and undiscovered country, as we journey we make not of landmarks so that we can more easily navigate and reach parts we have already come to know in the past.
